Today’s word of the day exercise is



This is a useful word for talking about arguments and proposals which may be either accepted or rejected. It is particularly helpful when discussing ideas in task 2 essays.

Using the word

These ares one of the more common uses of the words:

argument/idea/proposal/suggestion: There are still some people who reject the claims that global warming is primarily caused by human activity.

offer: I therefore reject your offer of a replacement handset and I would ask you to give me an immediate refund.

completely/outright/out of hand: This idea was rejected outright by the national health authorities as it was not in the best interests of patients.

reject something as: The proposal to provide inoculations for the whole population was rejected as unworkable.

feeling of rejection: Many children suffer from a feeling of rejection when their parents divorce.

    Hi Sir,
    I got 6.5 band in each modules but I need 7 band each. I suppose to do next exam in 1st week of December. Could you please help me to get 7 band. thanking you.
