    Hi there

I have a question about an idiom you used in question 4

What does ” not least” mean? and does it differ from ” last but not least”?

Good question – it’s a nice phrase to learn. It means something close to “mainly” or “particularly” and it is often used with “because” as here. It implies that there are often reasons too.

They may refuse her a visa, not least because she has a criminal record.
