Is there a way to receive in the mail only the word of the day, without the IE?TS tip?

Sorry no – you don’t have to read the language lesson of course. They’re free and you’re free to ignore them. I’d add that should you see a lesson without the word IELTS in the title then that’s the clue that I’m talking about some more general piece of language learning. It’s absolutely not the case that this site is simply for IELTS – my approach is to interest IELTS candidates into looking at areas of general/academic language learning rather than just “learning the exam” as you will find on most other sites. For instance, today’s lesson is simply directed at learning part of the writing skill of cohesion – good for life, good for IELTS.
