In this form of essay you are asked a direct question about a social issue. Very frequently you are asked more than one direct question. The trick here is to make sure you answer both questions.

In this form of the essay the emphasis is on your opinion.

One question

Some employers reward members of staff for their exceptional contribution to the company by giving them extra money. This practice can act as an incentive for some but may also have a negative impact on others. To what extent is this style of management effective?
