Here is a quick post of a link to useful site for describing graphs for academic task 1. In a way it is quite limited as it only gives you the trend-based language for time graphs, but the way it does this is excellent as it shows you how to use the vocabulary. Here are some reasons why I recommend this site to you:
- clever visuals to show you exactly what the word/phrase means
- examples of how how to use the language in a sentence
- notes on how to use the vocabulary
- links to related vocabulary

Hi there
In the new year I will be going online as a tutor. In the meantime, if you want to contact me, use the contact form at the bottom of the page and I’ll see if I can help you out.
Hi!
Which tense is used while describing a chart or graph in TASK 1?
Good question. I shall write a post on this shortly. The key is to make sure you notice whether it is past/present/future – they are all possible.
Sir can you provide for us sample of this type.
Sure.
I am in the process of starting to work on the site again and I will be posting as much as I have time to. I will prioritise a graph for you.
can I post my writing and can you correct it for me ?

Hi sir, million thanx for creating this blog.It is indeed very helpful for our ielts exam preparation. Anyway, i have quiries regarding the line graph. What is the important information to be written from the line graph and also can u give some tips on how to interpret the line graph. During essay writing for line graph, some of the info given from candidates might not consider important to examiners. Appreciate if u can guide me on this. Thank you.
I’m mostly working on essays at the mo, but I’ll see what I can do.
