hi sir could you please tell me something about conditional sentences….i mean something more about second conditionals…..i did not understand it properly……i saw in your essays..this structure…”……………there were unable to drink cocacola and wear nike then that would mean their society was not part of the international community…” topic is cultural globalization. i understand that this is a good sentence construction so kindly clear this doubt…thank you…
Complex to explain briefly. The main point is we are talking about the present situation – so don’t get confused by verbs that look as if they are in the past. The present we are talking about is “unreal” though. The normal teacher example is “If I had a million pounds, I wouldn’t be a teacher!” I am talking about now, but not the real now. The language you quote has the same grammar. You use a past tense with the If bit and either would/might/could/should in the other bit.
thank you sir…now i can understand……….thanks a lot…..
hi, I’m currently enrolled in an ilet’s review center, and I found myself having difficulty in writting essay due to lack of an idea on the topics, and even it’s only a gen. info. I did’nt able to start , I’m about to lose hope, could you pls give me some advise to boost my confidence?
Hi there. I know your problem – it’s a very common one. While there are things on the site already about this, I shall post something especially for you tomorrow. The general point is that you don’t need many ideas to write an essay. You need a couple of main points and a few reasons and examples. Indeed, many essays go wrong because they have too many ideas.
The key is in many ways to remember that it is a language test.
thank’s a lot for this realization..I truly admire this site.;)

hi
i have problems with speaking…. so pls help me
i cant understand difference between Salary and Wages. I look in dictionaries but they both have the same meaning 🙁
I suppose, Wage is kind of level of salary for people, and money paid by employer cant be less then the wage, that was set up by government. Is it right?
They are the same in meaning. We just use then slightly differently. If you are a professional you are more likely to use the word salary, but if you are a manual worker it is more likely to be wages.
