There is little doubt that there should be some
of advertising, but it is unclear who should be responsible for this and how the regulations should apply. One one level, in the free market, companies should be allowed to
their products and
as they see fit. However, there are surely some instances when it would be inappropriate for there to be
on advertising. For example, tobacco and alcohol companies should not be allowed to buy advertising
on television and radio.
