Vocabulary review – word forms and collocations – list 6

Part of the secret to learning words is to review them. Another thing you should concentrate on is learning how to use them. This means thinking about their different forms (that’s word families) and what other words they go with. This is what my daily word exercise is all about.

The vocabulary review this week looks at these words from the Academic Word List:

diverse

domain

edit

enhance

estate

exceed

The trick is not so much as to know what they mean – they are all common words – but how they are sued.

You will find more advice and exercises on word formation and collocation on my vocabulary learning page.
