Today’s word of the day exercise is

substitute

Notes

This word is frequently used in sport but it can also be used in a range of contexts and is similar to replace/replacement. You should note the range of prepositions it is used with.

Forms of the word

substitute (verb and noun)

substitution 

sub (abbreviation)

Using the word

make: There is no ground that I can see for making any such substitution.

for: No method substitutes for the skill and sensitivity of the class teacher

of/with: This has not solved the problem but simply led to the substitution of one problem with another. [note that it is the substitution of something]

asMany people use use saccharine as a substitute for sugar.

No: There is no substitute for adequate training, instruction and supervision.

good/poor/adequate etc: Telephone calls are a poor substitute for face-to-face communication.

    I need comprehensive learning. Last time I got 6.5 score. That is not enough for me I need 7 band score. So kindly help me to get 7
